Artists who have performed at UrBANGUILD

As of April 2020, under this urgent situation of Coronavirus, we as artists have launched this project from a strong sense of crisis.The venues which have been providing us with space to present our works need to be saved, together with us artists who are losing opportunities to perform. We are strongly convinced that both of us must be sustained together.

UrBANGUILD is an exceptionally unique venue where various kinds of artists perform and experiment.
We came up with an idea to create an online platform where these artists with different genres can distribute their works (using Bandcamp and Vimeo) and receive donations from the audience in exchange for their works (the minimum price to be set), which will be donated to UrBANGUILD.

This is our first attempt, and we are still trying out things within a short time, so we are not sure if it will go well or not. We will appreciate artists’ warm support with ideas and creativity.

We would like to support our essential UrBANGUILD in an artistic way, and provide artists an opportunity to promote their own works to wider audiences. Also, we hope this platform will nourish new encounters between audiences and artists.

At the same time, we sincerely hope that this can be a model case, and the necessary support which is unique to each space can spread to all venues.
We appreciate your kind understanding of our project and hope you can share your “culture” widely with a positive message.

Who Can Apply?

Any artist who has performed at UrBANGUILD in the past.

How Does It Work?

1. Artists who support this project provide us with artistic material.

2. We sell contents which are gathered in STEP 1, on KeepUrBAGNUILD’s Bandcamp page. People who wish to support artists and UrBANGUILD buy contents. On Bandcamp, the buyer also could make extra donations.

3. The all profit will go straight to UrBANGUILD as a donation. (exclude the processing fee for Bandcamp and Paypal)

You can insert the URL link of your own website in the description of each content to promote your other works or goods. Please give the audience an opportunity to explore more of your art!!
* This project is to be run for a limited period.

Which Online Service Will be Used?

●Bandcamp Pro / KeepUrBANGUILD account

We are planning to sign up for a Pro account (10 USD / a month ) which allows us to sell music data, video data and goods.

* Regarding video contents, as there is limitation of quality for video distribution on Bandcamp, we will use Bandcamp for buying contents and watching the sample trailer.
* We might delete the Pro account after certain time of period.

●Vimeo Pro/ use part of the account of one of the project staff.

This account will be used for distribution of full version of video which is bought on Bandcamp. A download URL link will be sent to the buyer separately.

●Facebook / Twitter / Instagram

We will use those SNS media to spread this project. Please spread information with #KeepUrBANGUILD !

How to Provide Contents

●Music data [Live recording, Premier song, House recorded song, etc.]

You need to prepare:

A Music data (format needs to be either : AIFF, WAV or FLAC )
B An image for the cover ( image format needs to be either : JPG, GIF, PNG / 10MB max. / size：at least 1400 ×1400px ）

STEPS

[1] Put data A and B into a compressed file such as zip, and upload it to cloud service or data transfer system.
Keep the cloud service URL link where you uploaded the compressed file. You will need to write this on the request form.

[2] Fill out a request form

[3] We will distribute data on https://keepurbanguild.bandcamp.com
As soon as it is ready, please share information to your fans.

* Both released/ unreleased works are welcome. (Please consider those without any problem regarding copyright between labels)
* You could distribute only one track.
* Please include your name and track title in the file name.
e.g. 20200407_title_name.zip

●Video data [LIVE video, Performance video, MV, etc.]

You need to prepare:

A An exported video data for Vimeo (format needs to be either MP4, MOV, WMV, AVI, FLV / size：1080p Full HD)

B An image for thumbnail ( JPG/ size: at least 1920×1080px)

STEPS

[2] Fill out a request form
→Form for video

[3] We will distribute data on https://keepurbanguild.bandcamp.com
As soon as it is ready, please share information to your fans.

* We will create a sample trailer (for Bandcamp) from the full version of the video (for Vimeo).
* Music in the video must be copyright free.
*Please include your name and movie title in the file name.

●Goods [-shirts, CD・Vinyl, Mask, etc]

You need to prepare:

A Image of goods ( Image format needs to be either : JPG, GIF, PNG / 10MB max. /size：at least 1200×900px / five images maximum per kind）

STEPS

[1] Put data A into a compressed file such as zip, and upload it to cloud service or data transfer system.
Keep the cloud service URL link where you uploaded the compressed file. You will need to write this on the request form.

As soon as it is ready, please share information to your fans.

[Note]
Each artist will be in charge of the shipment to the buyers. Please be responsible with handling customer information and shipment.
(Project staff will contact directly to the artist about customer information every time goods are sold.)

●Postal fee
Basically, we ask to use “Cash on Delivery” only. Please choose a suitable postal system for your goods such as “Yu-Mail”, and please make sure to inform the postal fee to the customer when you contact them.
* We limit goods distribution domestic delivery (within Japan) only.

●Stock quantity
You can limit the number of goods. For example, if you provide 10 items you can stop selling them when they are sold out. You can add extra items as they are ready, just contact KeepUrBANGUILD, then we will change the number of the stock.
